THE MONTH YOU WILL NEVER FORGET
THE ORGANIZATION THATSTARTED IT ALL
The UP Economics Society is a non-stock, non-profit, socio-civic student organization based in the School of Economics of the University of the Philippines Diliman. It is one of the largest
and most respected organizations in UP Diliman, embarking on various undertakings that realize its role as prime movers of
youth dynamism.
The Society is responsible for the promotion of economics among the youth through its various symposia and talks such
as the multi-awarded National Youth Congress. It holds an array of diverse activities geared towards the holistic well-being of its
nearly 200 members and more than 1,000 alumni.
On top of this, the Society is committed to the development of various partner communities in the University of the Philippines
campus through various activities such as daycare sessions, tutorials, and medical missions. The Society is also anchored on the provision of quality education to three high school and one college scholar from the UP School of Economics through the
Economics Society Scholarship Fund (ESSF).
Now on its 54th year of existence, the UP Economics Society is the oldest organization in the UP School of Economics, and
remains true to its cause of living out its core thrusts of service, excellence, and tradition.

THE MONTH YOU WILL NEVER FORGET
A WHOLE MONTH OF ECOSOC Ecosoc Month is the month long celebration of the UP Economics Society’s anniversary. It is celebrated every September and aims to celebrate and make the Ecosoc brand - its three thrusts (of Service, Excellence and Tradition) – known, not only to its beneficiaries but also to its contemporaries: the youth.
It is the youth that makes up the UP Economics Society and it is the youth that Ecosoc Month aims to inspire.
As we celebrate the 54th anniversary of the organization, we acknowledge its presence in the community it moves in and the lives it affects. The month events shall highlight the iconic and admirable aspects of Ecosoc: its 3 thrusts.

LIV is a celebration of young people who contribute to youth culture and inspire others with their endeavours and achievements.
Everyone is given the chance to paint the scene and their friends with water soluble paint while enjoying the music mixed by up and coming DJ’s.
Youth passion is be embodied by the interactive installation. It is a masterpiece – not only because it is a piece of art, but because it is a piece of art that hundreds of young people created.
