presentations on opportunities for U.S. and India cooperation.

in New Delhi, India for a workshop entitled “Transnational Threats and
Borders.”

The George C. Marshall Center for Security
Studies conducted a joint GCMC and DKI APCSS
alumni event in Mongolia.

During a recent trip to Washington D.C., Development
Advisor Dr. Lori Forman and Assistant Dean, College
of Security Studies, Dr. Justin Nankivell visited with
the Mongolian ambassador to the U.S., Altangerel
Bulgaa TSC14-1 and the Mongolian Defense Attaché,
Colonel Boldbat Khasbazar EC01-1.
Ms. Zenysha Zaki (Maldives), ASC10-
1, completed a project to Raise Human
Rights Awareness in Maldives. She also
received a Presidential award for her
accomplishment.
Kinzang Dorjic (Bhutan), ASC 10-2,
introduced a policy on interagency
coordination that was approved by the
Prime Minister.
Rajib Subba (Nepal), CCM13-1,
developed and implemented social
media tools to improve disaster
response.
Phouthone Muongpak (Laos),
CCM14-1, for the hospital where he
works, he installed an Incident
Command Committee and Incident
Command System; he developed an
emergency management plan, and
triage zone; he revised a list of
emergency medical devices, conducted
training and an exercise and installed a
dispatch center.
Gloria Mercado (Philippines), ASC14-
1, published a paper entitled “Towards Establishing a
Policy and Academic Network for Development and
Security.” It was published in the Katiwasayan
Journal.
