Monthly Inspection Report #63, June 2014 –July 2014 Independent Engineer for Chennai-T ada Section of NH-5 5.2.6 Quality Control Borrow Area No.16 (Thirunillai) reviewed and recommended for approval. Q Mix Plan (Ready Mix Concrete Plant) visited and reviewed the credentials. Aggregates and River Sand & Crusher sand, Cement, Admixture samples collected and concrete mix designs in progress at the same plant. Environmental Monitoring at different locations in the Project Highway Done. Water samples (Drinking Water & Construction Water) collected at Toll Plaza and at Km.50+900 LHS Base Camp and send to Third Party Testing. Signboards (3mm ACP) and Gantry samples collected and tested at Third Party Lab (Omega Lab at Guindy) test results are satisfactory. Routine tests on Materials (Soil, Flyash, Cement, Aggregate, GSB, WMM, Mastic Asphalt, Road Marking Material) as per respective codal specifications are conducting at GVR Lab daily as per Section 900 of MoRT&H.
