It fills me with delight to welcome you to D.P.G Polytechnic

college, Gurugram which has emerged over the years since

2007 as the most coveted institution in the region. We, at

D.P.G Polytechnic aim at providing myriad opportunities to

our students to showcase their talent and to become self-

actualized individuals, who have fully explored and fulfilled their potential.

We aim at furthering their aspirations by motivating them, equipping them with

requisite expertise and by providing them with an environment of encouragement

ABOUT US

DPG Group was established in 2004 on a sprawling campus spread over 23 acres.

The Group had set up its first institute as Chaudhary Partap Singh Memorial Trust

(CPSM) for B.Ed. & D.Ed. The institute is approved by NCTE, Jaipur and

affiliated to MDU, Rohtak. With three years of excellence in the field of education,

this group in 2007 went ahead to open second institute as DPG Polytechnic to

award diploma to the students of Gurugram.

The Trust members of DPG Polytechnic are academicians and seasoned

professionals with an experience of almost two decades in the field of higher

education in India. DPG campus is located in Gurugram, the district Head-quarter

of Haryana and one of the major corporate hub of the Northern Capital Region

(Delhi-NCR).

D.P.G. Polytechnic is multi-campus with modern infrastructural labs with all

facilities for boys and girls and a well equipped library. Our aim is to make it a

college of excellence and to improve the quality of technical education for the

student community.

D.P.G. Polytechnic is providing career-oriented education to the students so as to

equip them with requisite qualification and training. This will enable them to either

take up a gainful employment or to start their own enterprise and become self-

sufficient. The Institute is located on the outskirt of city, free from noise and

pollution. It has adequate infrastructure to cater to the needs of courses being

offered including a full-fledged library and computer centre. The Institute is

presently running various Diploma programs of three year duration. The Courses

have been approved by AICTE and is affiliated to HSBTE. Efforts are afoot to

obtain accreditation from NATIONAL Board of Accreditation. The achievements

so far, have been possible due to an inspiring and able leadership of our

management committee, comprising of highly educated successful professionals

and entrepreneurs. D.P.G. Polytechnic is totally alive to the needs and aspirations

of the student community and keeps itself abreast of the changes taking place on

the industrial front of the country.

D.P.G. Polytechnic has trained, competent and highly dedicated faculty to impart

theoretical as well as practical training to the students, regular involvement of the

expert faculty from other reputed institutions and organizations helps in improving

the quality and gives wider exposure to the students of D.P.G. Polytechnic is more

than just giving lectures. Extracurricular activities help the students in improving

their horizon and vision.

The Institute is committed to provide quality vocational and technical education to

its students. The institute provides technical courses in Mechanical Engineering,

Automobile Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering,

Electrical Engineering, Computer science Engineering, Civil Engineering and

DMLT (Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology). We also provide vocational

course in Automobile servicing, Refrigeration and Air conditioning,

Production Technology, Software development.

The annual function of DPG polytechnic was organized at the campus on 8 Feb18.

Preparations for annual function were made a few days in advance. The program

started with lighting the lamp by chief guest, Sh. Ram Bilas Sharma Education

minister of Haryana, Guest of Honors, Dr. M.P Poonia Vice chairman, AICTE, Sh.

Gopi Chand Gahlot Former Deputy Speaker, Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Sh. Rajender

Gahlot Chairman, Sh. Deepak Gahlot Vice chairman, Sh. Surender Gahlot General

Secretary, Sh. Rishi Pal Gahlot Managing Director, other members of the

managing committee and all the principals of the DPG group of colleges. The chief

guest insisted that without quality education, we cannot dream the success. He

emphasized that state and central government should make special provisions for

girl’s education. Annual report of DPG Polytechnic was presented by Col. K.S.

Thakran. The students presented an act on current issues like drug addiction, Beti

bachao. Colorful and enthusiastic dance performances were major center of

attraction. Meritorious students were awarded by prizes.

9th ANNUAL DAY -ARPAN 2018

The sports meet of DPG polytechnic was organized from 5 Feb 18 to 7 Feb 18 at

college sports complex. Opening ceremony was held on 5 Feb 18. Sh. Anoop

Kumar, captain of Indian National kabaddi team was the chief guest for the

inaugural function. Sh. Rajender Gahlot Chairman, Sh. Deepak Gahlot Vice

Chairman, Sh. Surender Gahlot General Secretary, Dr. Prahlad Singh Principal of

DPGITM, Col. K.S. Thakran Principal of DPG Polytechnic, Dr. S.S. Boken

Principal of Degree College and Col. S.S. Dhankhar Principal of C.P.S.M were

present at this meet.

ANNUAL SPORTS MEET 2018

Various sports events were conducted on this occasion. The sports meet was

started by tug of war of staff, which was the attraction of the day. Students also

showed their unity, understanding and will power in the various sports activities.

Students participated in 100 m and 200 m race, relay race, high jump, long jump,

kabaddi and volleyball. All the participants were given prizes and certificates by

the dignitaries who presided over the valedictory function with the announcement

of Annual Function of 8 Feb 18.

FRESHER’S PARTY 2018

This year fresher’s party was organized on 13 Oct 18. It started with lamp

lightening ceremony by Sh. Rajender Gahlot Chairman, Sh. Deepak Gahlot Vice

Chairman, Sh. Surender Gahlot General Secretary and Col. K.S. Thakran Principal

of DPG Polytechnic along with a welcome address for all the freshers. It explores

the talent of the beginners and the existing students. Moreover, these types of

celebrations help juniors to mingle with seniors and form a splendid co-ordination.

Fresher’s party is all about making the best start to the new academic year. A

time to create everlasting relationships with each other. This event is an indication

of union among the students.

PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

To achieve overall success in life, one must possess a strong personality. While

some people are born with it, others can shape up their personality if they work on

themselves by attending personality development sessions. Keeping this in mind, a

fifteen day workshop on “Personality Development Programme” was organized

for our final year students. The session was taken by Ms Ramandeep kaur from

Rubicon limited. She started the workshop with a very creative introductory

session, where students had to introduce themselves. This was followed by a

discussion on The Self, one’s desires, dreams, passions and motivations. Students

were told how important their dreams and desires are for developing the

personality. It was stressed that they need to have a passion in life. Students were

also given tips on how to increase their self-esteem. They were also encouraged to

be optimistic and to have a positive approach about everything in life. Most

importantly, it was emphasized that they should love themselves and never loose

confidence.

The programme also aimed to teach students to work with various professionals,

people and groups to understand the meaning of life and work in the present

context, to enhance their communication skills and interpersonal skills in order to

function in professional and social settings effectively.

An annual science and technology festival named AAYAM was organized by DPG

Group of colleges from 25 Oct 18 to 26 Oct 18.The fest was organized with a

motto of promoting technology and innovation amongst the technocrats of NCR

region. The cultural events were also performed along with the technical events.

Bishnu Dat Sharma Ex. District Education Officer was the chief guest and other

dignatries who attended the function were Sh. K.K. Sharma Retd Professor, Sh.

K.K. Chaudhary Retd Professor. It started with lamp lightening ceremony by Sh.

Rajender Gahlot Chairman, Sh. Deepak Gahlot Vice Chairman, Sh. Surender

Gahlot General Secretary and all the Principals of DPG group. The tech fest was

the combination of technical events, cultural events, art & craft. The technical

events were Truss Making, Robotics, Junkyard, Autocad Designing, Technical

Treasure Hunt, Circuit Debugging, Website Development, and Code Debugging.

The cultural events were such as Solo Singing, Duet Singing, Solo Dance, Group

Dance, Ramp walk, War of Bands, Musical Quiz. The non-technical events were

Pot Decoration, Mehandi, Rangoli, T Shirt Painting, Poster Making, Sketching,

Card Making, Nail Art and Best out of waste. Approximately 400 students were

registered.

Approximately 80 schools of Gurugram and nearby places participated in the

science innovation program. Students of DPG Polytechnic from Computer Science

3rd

semester won 1st prize in “Homemade Gaming Console” winning Rs. 5000 cash

prize, students from Automobile 3rd

semester won second prize in “Robowar”

winning Rs. 3000 cash prize and students from computer science 5th semester won

first prize in skit competition.

campus. Around 450 students of the region participated and around 250 students
