When you are looking at campaign posters you could use the following chart to help you.

Name of campaign What is the main message of the poster?

Who is the poster aimed at?

Is the poster effective in getting its message across?

Knife Crime The main message for this poster is that ‘don’t carry a knife if you don’t want to lose your life’.

The poster is specifically aiming at young adults. Teenagers who carries knife for the fun of it.

I definitely believe that the poster is effective when carrying its message across because no one wants to lose their life behind bars for the rest of their lives. So the fact that a young man is behind bars looking outside the window shows that anyone who dare to carry a knife could be in his position.

Racism The main message to this poster is ‘Stop Racism’.

This poster is aimed at everyone who feel that they superior to those who are different whether in the colour of the skin or the religion.

I think that the poster is getting its message across because the words used ‘racism stop it’ is not based on one type of racism it is based on all type of racism that is still going on. This poster is to show people that racism is still continuing and if they want to put a stop to it they have to start by asking themselves I they have been racist without realizing it.

THINK! The main message is ‘think before you act’

The poster is aimed at road drivers, who drive carelessly without thinking of the consequences.

I do think that the poster is effective in getting its message across because the words THINK and Road Safety say it all.
