Teacher is the academic and moral role model

Students become culturally literature individuals

Educational leaders: William Bagley, E.D. Hirsch, Jr., William Bennett

Pros Cons

Students are shown how act morally and academically

Does not cover every set of skill

Students won’t follow bad role leaders

Only focuses on certain skills

Perennialism

Finding the hidden meaning in a Shakespeare play

Teacher: scholarly role model; helps students find the truth themselves

Students: increasing their intellectual powers and appreciate learning

Educational leader: Robert Hutchins, Mortimer Adler

Pros Cons

Helps students learning old lessons from Great Books

The hidden lesson won’t be easy to find

Students grow wiser

See it as lessons that don’t apply to modern times

May get overwhelmed in experiences

Students find it easier to get involved in school

My Own Philosophy(Existentialism)

It helps students devolve at their own pace (Everyone is different)

Students find it easier to interact in a classroom using their medium

They learn to take personal responsibility; to be self-confident
