#5 – Entrance Through The Veil

Not Without Blood… “Behind the second veil there was a

tabernacle which is called the Holy of Holies…and above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat…only the high priest enters once a year, not without taking blood….”

Through The Blood Of Jesus…

• We have been transferred into the holiest of holies – the very presence of

Almighty God.• The

experience is well discussed

in four amazingverses in Hebrews 10:19-22.

Hebrews 10:19-22 Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, by a newand living way which He inaugurated for us throughthe veil, that is, His flesh,and since we have a great priest over the house of God,let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

Could not cleanse the conscience.

Could not take away sin.

We Have A New Confidence

Physically of heaven, the throne room of God.

A New And Living Way Vs. 20 -- …by a new

and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh…

Therefore He Is Our High Priest

Can only refer to our baptism – a complete renewal into a new creature

Water And Blood Necessary Exodus 29:4, 20-21 – “Then you shall bring

Aaron and his sons to the doorway of the tent of meeting and wash them with water….You shall slaughter the ram, and take some of its blood and put it on the lobe of Aaron’s right ear and on the lobes of his sons…and on the thumbs of their right hands and on the big toes of their right feet….”

“This is the One who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and with the blood….”

The Baptism Jesus Endured…

Luke 12:50 – “But I have a baptism to undergo, and how distressed I am until it is accomplished!”

His was a baptism of suffering – the shedding of His blood. Dying for us!
