From the Fire Tool Allover - White (Backing), cut:• (2) 66” x WOF strips for the backing. Sew the strips

together and trim to make the 66” x 75” back.

Sewing Instructions1. Sew (1) 2” x 8” Fabric B strip to each side of (1) 8”Fabric A block. Sew (1) 2” x 11” Fabric B strip to the topand to the bottom of the Fabric A block. Trim the blockto measure 9 ½” square to make (1) Block One (Fig. 1).Repeat to make (12) Block Ones total.

Quilt Top Assembly (Refer to the Quilt Layout while assembling.)7. Sew (3) Block Ones and (2) Block Threes together,alternating them, to make Row One. Repeat to make RowFive.

8. Sew (3) Block Fours and (2) Block Ones together,alternating them, to make Row Two. Repeat to make RowSix.

9. Sew (1) Block One, (1) Block Three, (1) Block Two,(1) Block Three and (1) Block One together in that order tomake Row Three.

10. Sew (3) Block Fours and (2) Block Twos together,alternating them, to make Row Four.

11. Sew the (6) rows together in numerical order to makethe Center Block.

12. Sew (1) 2” x 54 ½” Fabric K strip to each side of theCenter Block. Sew (1) 2” x 48 ½” Fabric K strip to the topand to the bottom of the Center Block.

13. Sew (1) 5 ½” x 57 ½” Fabric L strip to each side of theCenter Block. Sew (1) 5 ½” Fabric M square to each end of(1) 5 ½” x 48 ½” Fabric L strip. Repeat to make a secondstrip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block to make the quilt top.

14. Layer and quilt as desired.

15. Sew the (7) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric N strips together, endto end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold thislong strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together andpress.

16. Bind as desired.

2. Sew (1) 2 ¼” x 6” Fabric Jstrip to each side of (1) 6”Fabric I block. Sew (1)2 ¼” x 9 ½” Fabric J strip tothe top and to the bottom of theFabric I block to make (1) BlockTwo (Fig. 2). Repeat to make(3) Block Twos total.

3. Sew (1) 1” x 4” Fabric B strip to eachside of (1) 4” Fabric C square. Sew (1)1” x 5” Fabric B strip to the top and to thebottom of the Fabric C square to make (1)Unit 1 block (Fig. 3). Repeat to make (6)Unit 1 blocks total.

4. Sew (1) 2 ¾” x 5” Fabric Dstrip to each side of (1) Unit 1block. Sew (1) 2 ¾” Fabric Esquare to each end of (1)2 ¾” x 5” Fabric D strip.Repeat to make a second strip.Sew the strips to the top and tothe bottom of the Unit 1 blockto make (1) Block Three(Fig. 4). Repeat to make (6)Block Threes total.

5. Sew (1) 1” x 4” Fabric E strip to eachside of (1) 4” Fabric F square. Sew (1)1” x 5” Fabric E strip to the top and to thebottom of the Fabric F square to make (1)Unit 2 block (Fig. 5). Repeat to make (9)Unit 2 blocks total.

6. Sew (1) 2 ¾” x 5” Fabric Gstrip to each side of (1) Unit 2block. Sew (1) 2 ¾” Fabric Hsquare to each end of (1)2 ¾” x 5” Fabric G strip. Repeatto make a second strip. Sewthe strips to the top and to thebottom of the Unit 2 block tomake (1) Block Four (Fig. 6).Repeat to make (9) Block Fourstotal.
