4Winds Service User

Many thanks to everyone who provided feedback!

“4winds has vastly improved my quality of life. Not working can affect my depression to a detrimental effect and having somewhere to go to, where I have many friends, has helped me very much. Through 4winds I have started giving talks, interviewing at Cardiff University and I am part of the volunteer outreach

4winds has helped me have friends, kept me out of hospital, kept me on the straight

and narrow. 4winds helps me enjoy Art. 4winds helped me into voluntary work. The

staff are very helpful and good to talk to, they are good listeners . 4winds is a good

place to go when feeling alone and have no company.”

“I have had so much useful help and information on everything from housing, debt and

benefits. I am thinking of trying some voluntary work soon now that some of my prob-

lems are getting sorted.”

“4Winds was the first of many services to really help me and make a difference. It takes me a while to express myself and the staff encouraged me by being patient and supportive. I’ve been able to get the help I need at last because of this includ-ing a better place to live. “4winds is an ideal place to go for people who suffer with loneliness. It provides a friendly and warm environment with numerous activities that pass the time and enhances your demeanour. It always feels friendly “

In the last week of March we held a service user discussion week where people who

use the centre were encouraged to give feedback about the service in 4Winds. This

took place in a variety of ways including written feedback on suggestion forms, dis-

cussion at a meeting and adding comments by post it notes to flipchart paper dis-

played in the centre. We will be feeding back and writing up the information for a

members meeting in the near future. In the meantime, please find some comments

received below. We will also be continuing to work on the areas that people said

they didn’t like about the 4Winds such as getting the back yard improved and getting

final improvements made to the kitchen so that food group cooking classes can re-

commence.
