“They Went Forth And Preached Everywhere” (Mk. 16:20a) The theme chosen for the Congress is inspired by Mk 16:20, which reads “And They Went Forth And Preached Everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by the signs that attended it. Amen.” This is part of the so-called longer ending of Mark that covers 9-20. This verse briefly relates the appearances of the Risen Christ, his commissioning of the disciples and his ascension into heaven. In the light of these verses, we reflect and affirm our faith in the abiding presence of the Risen Christ in the Church till the end of time. The Risen Christ is with us today! At the same time, we consider His exhortation that we do not keep His message of love and His blessings to ourselves but that we go forth and share to everyone everywhere. Msgr. Andres M.
