RATIONALE The conference will provide an excellent platform to discuss and clarify major issues that need to be bridged between theory and practice, business unit and regulators. This conference also seeks to bring together scholars and professional engaged in research (both practical and academic) on the growth and development of finance and economics to present their research paper/ideas to a broader audience. In addition, it will also facilitate the collection and dissemination of knowledge through the publication of selected papers in good journals and policy reports. This is to ensure the discussions are not merely academic but translated to high impact initiatives through policies formulation.

RATIONALEIn the wake of rapid changes in global economy and new challenges facing the humanity, there is a need for scholars and academics to formulate new thoughts and reevaluate the existing theories and policies. Effective polices and initiatives are indeed required to address the widening gap between the rich and poor, disruption due to digital innovation, rising protectionism and many more poignant matters.

Notwithstanding the continuous discussion and conversation that are currently taking place among the academicians, this conference aims to address specific issues related to inclusion, sustainability and ethics. In particular, the conference will address questions such as:

How to contribute to sustainable transformations of society through socio-economic policies, politics and institutional reforms, and innovation in technology. How to promote ethics in business as the large part of literature particularly of the Islamic seems to be either theologically oriented or superficial and inadequate in its assessment. How to enhance financial inclusion through formal and non-formal financial institutions.
