The Arts Commission received 356 submissions total. Round One: Arts Commission staff presented the qualifications of 61 artists for the 49 South Van Ness 2D opportunity. “Yes/No” majority votes based on the criteria of Artistic Excellence and Appropriate to Project Goals yielded 30 artists to move to Round Two. The Artist Selection Panel was asked to score artists based on the following criteria (1= low score): • Artistic Excellence (1-5) • Appropriate to Project Goals (1-5) Round Two voting yielded 23 artists to recommend to the Arts Commission.
