Each Master Programme is equivalent to 60 ECTS Credits at level 7 on the European Qualifications Framework. Credits are issued by ESEI In-ternational Business School. Each ECTS credit has a total value of 4.8 lecture hours. Each academic year requires around 216 hours of com-pulsory study in classroom plus project work and other independent study.

The total duration of the Master programme is one academic year and the course takes place over two academic semesters. Students can start their studies either in the Fall or Spring semester. The graduation ceremony for both intakes takes places in the month of July each year.

MASTER PROGRAMME

Participation – Students will self and peer assess their participation in the course, alongside feedback from

professors and tutors. By participation, we mean preparing well for class, contributing to a positive learning en-

vironment inside the classroom, and being respectful and helpful to our classmates so that we advance toge-

ther and learn from each other. This tenacity and humility alongside a positive attitude towards our work and

our peers are critical success factors both within and outwith the classroom.

Progressive assessment – Most core modules are assessed by a written project which fuses content from

the different component courses, and is focused on a practical case or issue. This allows the ESEI master’s

student to truly apply the knowledge gained from the course to something which gives them scope for creativity

and for wider research in areas of personal interest. Some modules are assessed in class, either through com-

municative activities (e.g. roleplays) or tests, in subjects such as finance or Business law.

Thesis – A final written project is to be submitted at the end of each semester. This can take one of two forms:

a case study which analyses an issue relevant to your study discipline or a full business plan which could be

used to attract investment.

Sergio Anguita - Organizer of Start-ups related events and groups such as the Barcelona Lean Start-up Circle

and the Start-up Weekend. He is now also the head of the Geo-technologies area for the Cartographic and

Geologic institute of Catalunya.

RRuth Nash - Ruth comes with extensive experience in business administration, operations and general mana-

gement positions in multinationals in services and in the direct sales industry for companies such as Deloitte.

3. Medical insurance for the duration of your stay in Spain to cover your medical expenses, and repatriation in the case of accident or sudden illness.

4. Evidence that you have means of subsistence and accommodation for the period for which you are requesting the visa, and where applicable, the funds to guarantee your return to your country.

A criminal record certificate for the last five years.

A medical certificate stating that you do not suffer from any diseases with serious repercussions for public health in accordance with the provisions of international health regulations.

What documents do I need to apply for my visa?

You can request your student visa at the Spanish consulate in your country. You can find the list of consulates and embassies here:

Where can I obtain my visa?

If you're a non-EU citizen and are staying in Spain to study for more than three months, you'll need a student visa.

If your studies are to last more than six months you will also need to apply for a long-term student visa.

When do I need a visa?

STUDENT VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR NON-EUROPEAN STUDENTS

- You cannot enter Spain with a tourist visa and then apply for a student visa.

- We recommend that you submit your visa application sufficiently in advance (around two or three months before travelling).

- If your studies have a duration of less than six months, the Spanish consulate may issue you a student visa with the specification “STUDENT, TOTAL 180 DAYS”. This type of visa makes it impossible subsequently to obtain a student residence card in Spain.

-- You are permitted to work during your period of student residence as long as your work activities do not conflict with completing your studies. The company hiring you must be registered in the Spanish Social Security system.

- If you would like family members to come and visit you in Spain, you can also apply for the corresponding visas so that they can enter and legally stay in Spain while you are here studying.

Things to remember

Exchange and transfer students are required to present their academic transcripts and

the course descriptions from their university of origin to ensure transferability of credits.
