1. [4 marks] a. Explain the meaning for four of the symbols shown in Figure 1.

b. Draw four of the following electrical and electronic symbols.: . (i) Silicon controlled rectifier (ii) Amplifier with adjustable gain (iii) Cathode directly heated (iv) Pentode (v) Zener diode 2. [8 marks] Answer ether (a) or (b) of the following: a. Draw and complete the views shown in Figure 2 (a). Sketch the isometric view. Select suitable dimensions.

b. Draw the views shown in Figure 2 (b) and add the right side view. Sketch the isometric view. Select suitable dimensions.

3. [7 marks] Draw the front view looking along direction F, and partial top view (ignoring the inclined surfaces). Add the right partial auxiliary view to show the inclined surfaces in true sizes.

4. [7 marks] Draw front view and right (aligned) sectional view of the object shown in Figure 4. Consider the object integral.

5. [6 marks] Draw the views shown in Figure 4 and develop the lateral surfaces of the object.

(8 marks) 6 [12 marks] Assemble the parts in the sequence as shown in the Figure 5, and draw the front sectional and top views of the assembly. Show the bill of materials and part number. Indicate three main dimensions.
