Science and Technology Think about what natural disasters can happen in Australia and around the world, such as bushfires, floods, cyclones, earthquakes and volcanoes. Complete the attached worksheet including filling in the columns ‘What I Know’, ‘What I Want to Know’ about natural disasters. Leave the last column ‘What I learnt’ until later. On the second page, complete the two columns ‘Impact of Floods on Humans’ and ‘Impact of Floods on the Environment’ in the table.
PD/Health Healthy Eating Using the attached picture of the ‘Food Pyramid’ to help: Name the five food groups Draw and label a food pyramid Which foods should you eat the most of? Which foods should you eat the least of? Do you think you eat a healthy balanced diet? What could you start eating more of this week?
Creative Arts Play your favourite song or piece of music Answer these questions about the music. How did it make you feel? What sounds did you like the most and why? Geography Australian Aboriginal people traditionally spoke and continue to speak many languages. Look at the map Aboriginal Languages in NSW and ACT and see what language was spoken in your local area.
