5 Waterproofing Work

5.01 Three coats of "Tapecrete" applied to surfaces where called

for in a proportion of 2:1 (2parts of cement & 1 part Tape

Crete) for each layer tro a total thickness of not less than

3mm after preparation of surface etc. including a protective

layer of 12mm thick cement plaster in 1:4 cement mortar (1

cement : 4 coarse sand). Tapecrete shall be polymer modified

cementious Emulsion. The work shall be carried out by

specialist firms approved by the P.M. Consultant to their own

specifications broadly outlined above and shall carry

guarantee against leakage, seepage, sweating and other

defects for 10 (Ten) years. Treated surface area shall only be

measured.
