All Wheel BrakingAll Wheel Braking is standard on all 432E Backhoe loaders. Whendriving in two wheel drive, applying the brakes engages four wheeldrive, maximising brake effectiveness. Improved Loader PerformanceThe new 432E Parallel Lift Loader has a 10% increase in loader breakoutforce, giving faster cycle times andless effort. It also offers self levellingas standard, ensuring faster loadingcycles. Available with either a GeneralPurpose or Multi Purpose bucket, the 432E can be matched to yourneeds precisely. As ever, the work tool visibility is excellent with thenarrow sloping hood and divergentloader arms allowing a clear line of site to the bucket edges. The large torque tube providestorsional stiffness, needed whenpicking up irregular shaped heavyobjects, in the loader bucket, or when grading with the loader. The new arms have been redesigned to further Loader performance.

Joystick ControlThe loader joystick is ergonomicallyplaced for operator comfort, andcontrols the multi-purpose bucket,auxiliary hydraulics, and All WheelSteer when these options are fitted.

Loader VersatilityThe 432E Loader now has even greater performance.

Ride ControlCaterpillar’s proven Ride Controlsystem is an option designed to reducemachine pitching and bouncing giving operators a smooth ride in allapplications, including load and carry,roading, or simply moving around the jobsite. An accumulator acts as a shock absorber to reduce machinepitching and provide a smoother rideover rough terrain. The system is engaged by a switch on the frontconsole.

Return to DigYour 432E is equipped with astandard Return to Dig system. This system reduces loading cycletimes by bringing the loader bucketback to the dig position with an easypull of the lever. By the time theloader bucket is at ground level, the bucket is angled correctly for the next load or cut.

40 kph Power-Shuttle TransmissionThe 432E comes equipped with 40 kphPower-Shuttle transmission, improvingroading speed and providing betterspacing between gear ratios. It utilises aconstant mesh, synchronised, four speedsystem. The forward/reverse lever onthe steering column is placed for easydirection changes on the move, and thegear selection is from the floor mountedshift lever.

Optional All Wheel SteerThe 432E is now available with AWS,enabling 2WS, Circle Steer, Crab Steerand Independent Rear Steering for thosetight situations. This makes the machinefar more manoeuvrable in tight workareas. The unique Independent RearSteering ensures even greatermanoeuverability.

Caterpillar 3054C EngineThe 432E is equipped with the standard 3054C DIT engine. The 4 cylinder, 4 stroke direct injection diesel engine isequipped with standard glow plug starting for optimal cold weather performance. This provides reliable starting performancedown to -26°C. The engine features a reliablegear driven water pump, for improveddurability. All Caterpillar backhoe enginesconform to EU directive 97/68/EC Stage IIemission regulations.

Features■ Heavy duty rear axle with self

adjusting inboard brakes, optionaldifferential lock, and final drive.

■ All Wheel Drive (AWD) is engaged by front console panel switch or by brake pedal during all wheel brakingoperation. AWD can be engaged on the go, under load, in any gear,forward or reverse. AWD has outer final drives for easy maintenance.

■ AWD is pendulum mounted andpermanently sealed and lubricated,requiring no daily maintenance. Also features double acting steeringcylinder with 50° steering angle for increased maneuverability.

■ Optional All Wheel Steer.

The standard Power-shuttletransmission provides four speedforward and reverse, full synchromeshin all gears. Constant mesh gears on allratios permit on the go shifting of allgears up or down. Neutral startprovision prevent starting while shuttleis engaged. Torque converter free wheelclutch allows the converter stator freewheel during high speed, low loadconditions such as roading.
