Dinton’s Wyndham Armshas a new landlord and

landlady, Paul and Mary.Their northern sense of hosp-

itality, fun and goodwill hasluckily stretched south to allowthe locals a chance to enjoya good pint, decent wine andfreshly cooked delicious unpre-tentious, sensibly priced, food.

They actually asked theircustomers what sort of mealsthey would like, and what sortof prices they felt were fair. The menus were then adjust-ed to suit. Discounts are givento those who have retired, andI guarantee every person whopasses through the door will bemade to feel very welcomed.

Terrible snow, ice and treach-erous driving conditions killedoff most of their passing tradevery early on in their new ven-ture, and then burst pipes andfaulty electricity added to theirproblems.

They happily ploughed on

customers, they are going fromstrength to strength.

Burcombe butcher Bob Palm-er is now supplying them withexcellent fresh meat, and theyare sourcing other produce asnear to home as possible.

Mary and Paul have askedValley News, on their behalf,to thank all their new friends, supporters and customers whohave helped them settle so wellinto Dinton’s way of life, and thecommunity.
