Howard A. WhitePresident, Pepperdine University
Welcome to the Malibu campus and to thetradition-honored Pepperdine Lectures. For40 years the annual Pepperdine UniversityBible Lectureship has provided a platformfor great Biblical preaching and teaching bysome of the most able leaders in the church.
The University is justly proud of this40-year heritage of greatness in theproclamation of the Bible and Bible-relatedthemes. The Pepperdine Lectures rest upontwo great truths: that Jesus Christ is Lordand Savior; and that the Bible is theinspired and authoritative Word of God. TheBible is the cornerstone for every aspect ofChristianity's world mission, and the churchhas made its greatest advances in thoseperiods in which the Bible has beenrediscovered.
