■ 1x Serial RS232, COM1, RJ-45, up to 115Kbps.■ 1x Serial RS232, COM2, DB9, up to 115Kbps.■ 1x Ethernet, LAN, RJ-45, 10/100Mbps.

2. Serial connection- Print mode

■ Serial Interface RS232 – DB9 or RJ45

With the Serial RS232 ports, possible to set:

• Print Mode (Normal mode):In this mode the control unit can receive external variables. XCL, ActiveX or scanners etc can be used.

2. Serial connection- Passive server mode

■ Passive Server Mode (has to be chosen on the control unit).This mode is used in combination with the Ethernet port and the function is to communicate through the printer with external devices connected to the com ports. The external serial devices can in this way be reachable on the network even though they don’t have network support by their own. The configured com port will be given a TCP port number which is used to connect to the serial device. It requires a software on a server that can connect to different TCP ports.

• Cable between COM-port on PC, Scanner or weight to Controllers COM1 or COM2

• Cable length of maximum 5m is recommended. See Book for Service Engineers for pin configuration.
