I. We need watchmen

We need to move ahead of the enemy that iswhy WE NEED WATCHMEN

Ezekiel 3:17

Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto thehouse of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth,and give them warning from me.

Ezekiel 33:7

So thou, 0 son of man, I have set thee a watchmanunto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear theword at my mouth, and warn them from me.

The subject of Intercessory prayer is one of

the most profound and far reaching realities

of our day. It opens to us the most effective

weapon we have today in our battle against

the powers of darkness.

If you learn the lessons and principles of these

studies and begin to put them into practiceyou will become a real threat to the enemy.

Whatever POSITION Godhas put you in, you holdthe GATEWAY to thatposition. (I am the DOOR.)You are responsible for the

door. Example -Intercessors you are theWATCHMAN, pick up whatis coming. You will be thefirst one to be hit before the

group you are looking afteras Watchman. Once it getspast the watchman, itaffects the people.

TO WATCH to see, tobe aware of WHAT THEENEMY IS WANTING TODO. Usually, you FEELIT.

REMAIN AT YOUR POSTas watchman. This isdangerous, it takestime, commitment andeffort. WATCH FOR THEENEMY.

God is no respecter of persons, He has no favorites. Butthere are those who find favor with God. To anyone in theearnest pursuit of God and His ways, I commend thesestudies. The precious treasures of God are withheld fromthe careless and the satisfied, and are revealed to thehungry, the determined, and the one hundred percentinvolved with God. ALWAYS SET YOUR HEART FORSOMETHING HIGHER FOR GOD, FOR HIS GREATERPURPOSES.

There will be those who dare to take God at His word and

cross the spiritual deserts of our time, finding their waythrough to Gods answer for this generation.

II. Jesus is the intercessor

The FoundationStone ... There isone truth that isthe foundation

stone of allintercession -JESUS IS THE

INTERCESSOR.Everything we do is

dependent uponand relative to ourunderstanding of

this.

Jesus is the intercessor

The principle ofintercession is related toMANS REDEMPTION. Aproper understanding ofthis is crucial! Only as weunderstand this, can weproceed and be effectivein our intercession.

Jesus has accomplished

an incredible work ofintercession on the Cross,which we now need toENFORCE in the earth.

III. Mans Role in the Earth

Most Christians do notunderstand the extent ofGods decision to makeHimself dependentupon man. Theimplications of this are

profound and must beunderstood if we are tounderstand intercession.I believe the plans ofGod are greatlyhindered because we

have wrong notions ofthe sovereignty of God.Hence, many thingsdont happen which Godhas purposed.

God works through Man

Whatever God does, He does thru His people.From the beginning, God determined that theaffairs of the Earth would be governed by man.

God made man to rule in the earth. Man wascreated to be an extension of the family of God inheaven. HE WAS TO BRING AND MAINTAIN THERULE OF GOD IN THE EARTH. He was to make the

earth like heaven, and he himself was to reflectGod.

Read Genesis 1:26-28

SO COMPLETE WAS

MANS AUTHORITY IN

THE EARTH, THAT HE

HAD THE RIGHT TO GIVE

IT AWAY (to Satan).

THIS RIGHT WOULD

HAVE GRAVECONSEQUENCES ON

MANS FUTURE IN THE

EARTH.

Man made in Gods image and

glory to rule in the earth, to

govern the earth for God.

Man was to be Gods mediator,

His mouthpiece in the earth.

B. Satan Obtained Authority in the Earth

Luke 4:6

And the devil said unto

him, All this power will I

give thee, and the glory

of them: for that is

delivered unto me; and

to whomsoever I will

give it.

Satan had the LEGAL

RIGHT, the Lord Jesus

did not contest it.

The plans and purposes ofGod are greatly hindered bya wrong conception of thesovereignty of God. Godcan do all things, but that

does not mean that Hedoes. The WILL OF GOD(including prophecies) ISNOT AUTOMATIC IN THEEARTH, OR IN YOUR LIFE,

OR IN YOUR CITY ORNATION. We need to graspthis, it is very important.This will be contested bythe enemy.

God is in control to the degree that we put

him in control

Adam, (Man) gave hisauthority over the earthaway to Satan.

In order to get it back,God had to do it throughMAN ... thus theIncarnation.

Romans 5:14-15 Nevertheless death reigned

from Adam to Moses, evenover them that had notsinned afler the similitude

of Adams transgression,who is the figure of himthat was to come. But not

as the offence, so also isthe free gift. For if throughthe offence of one many

be dead, much more thegrace of God, and the giftof grace, which is by oneman, Jesus Christ, hathabounded unto many.

C. Man would forever be linked to

authority over the earth

This is the reason for

prayer. God will not

sovereignly move

because He has givendominion/authority to

Man

Every CHANGE in ourlife has to BE BIRTHED

through PRAYER.

EXAMPLES:

ELIJAH - 1 Kings 18, James 5.Elijah stops the rain. It was Godsidea but Elijah had to travail.

DANIEL - Dan. 9, Danieldiscovered the prophecies ofJeremiah regarding the seventyyear captivity. The time was up,but he had to co-operate withGod and pray. He had to beconsistent and diligent in prayer.It would NOT have come to pass if

Daniel DID NOT PRAY. EZEK. 22:30-31 - God looked for a

man, an intercessor to stopjudgment on the land.

Thy Kingdom come

Matt. 6:10 Thy Kingdom come.

Greek for come: Ginomai- A COMMAND, not

just passive prayer.

Gods kingdom comes when we, with

authority, command it to come, to be

established. IF WE DONT - HE WONT.

Romans 8:26-27 Rom. 8:26-27 Likewise the

Spirit also helpeth ourinfirmities: for we know notwhat to pray for as we

ought: but the Spirit itselfmaketh intercession for uswith groanings whichcannot he uttered. And hethat searcheth the heartsknoweth what is the mind

of the Spirit, because hemaketh intercession for thesaints according to the willof God.

Rom. 8:28 tells us thatall things worktogether for good. ISTHAT TRUE?

Not unless verses 26and 27 are in place,only after PRAYING IT

THROUGH.

GOD DOES NOT WORK IN THE EARTH

APART FROM REDEEMED MAN, YOU ANDME.

HE HAS CHOSEN TO ADMINISTER HISAFFAIRS IN THE EARTH THROUGH THE

CHURCH.

OUR CO-OPERATION WITH HIM IN THIS IS

VITAL FOR THE WILL OF GOD TO BE DONE.

Pray the purposes of Godin your life,

family, nation!

Cooperate with God, BRING THEM TO

BIRTH.

God works through Man - through you,

through us.

When things go wrong in your life, it does notmean that you are out of the will of God oryouve missed it, not sensed Gods Spirit.

If you will not cooperate with God, the will of

God will not be done in your life. You have tocooperate with God. And if you dont , it

wont happen. COOPERATION IS NECESSARY.
