They have done it earlier and they will repeat the same at present also,” said Additional General Secre-

tary Shiekh Mustafa Kamal. He added that JeI has always been at war with the National Con-ference and history bears witness to the fact that it has always cre-ated hurdles for NC when it comes for the representation of peoples’ aspiration at large. “They (JeI) will not leave any stone unturned when it comes to work against NC and its interests,” said Kamal, adding that earlier it was Hizb, the armed wing of JeI that killed several NC leaders at various places in Valley and when they tasted defeat on political and armed front- they began aiding PDP that was established for the eradication of NC from the politi-

cal spheres of Jammu and Kash-mir. Substantiating his claims, NC’s senior leader stated that the flag of Muslim Muthida Mahaz (MMM) during 1987- of which JeI was the main component and PDP’s flag is one. “What more you need to know about the equations of PDP and JeI.” Commenting over the recent statement of JeI Chief Muhammad Abdullah Wani about Modi, Kamal stated that it is JeI’s indirect support to Modi. “Both are the extremist elements- once PDP wins in Valley- it would be the win of BJP in New Delhi.” (KNS)

Democratic Party (PDP) leader and MLA Bandipora, Nizamudin Bhat has appealed Election Commis-sion of India (ECI) to intervene and ensure that the public resources are not put at the services of workers of ruling party in Kashmir.

“The agriculture department and Wullar Conservation Author-ity has distributed seasonal seed and saplings during these days. Unfortunately this material is selectively provided to workers of NC and Congress only to promote electoral gains while as genuine progressive farmers and orchard-ists are being left high and dry,” Bhat said in a statement. “Similarly, solar lights are also distributed by various departments selectively again to put adversaries of NC on disadvantage,” he alleged.

Mehbooba Mufti was involved in an act of violence against a woman in 2004. In a statement issued to media, Junaid Mattu said Meh-booba Mufti had violated the dig-nity of a woman in 2004 by lifting her veil violently in public at a polling station in Sonawar in 2004 - following which a legal case and a complaint in the election commis-sion was registered against her. “Pertinently the case against Mehbooba Mufti remains unde-cided to this day and she has not been exonerated by the Election Commission. How could a woman

do something so dreadful and obnoxious to another woman from Kashmir? What is ironic is that the same Mehbooba Mufti is issu-ing statements condemning an incidents of similar wrongdoings without having apologized to the nation and especially the women of Kashmir for what she did in 2004 in full public glare!” said Mattu. Mattu said that Muzaffar Hus-sain Baig added insult to injury by defending Mehbooba’s act of viola-tion against another woman in 2004. Stating that Mehbooba should have felt equally "dis-heartened" due to her con-demnable act in 2004 as she is pretending to feel now, Junaid Mattu said that PDP's style of politics brought muck and abuse into the system rather than help-ing in transforming our political system for the greater common good.
