4th round of Swami Vivekanand Rojgar Bharti Mela Functions to distribute Job/Apprenticeship letters

The office of Commissioner, Employment & Training, Gujarat started a novel

idea of organizing Industrial Job Fairs with the participation of private sector

employers in the Industrial Estates of the State. This was an innovative, unique and a

win win approach to act as a facilitator between industries & youth. In the year 2012

and 2013, Job fairs were organized in three rounds.

Round 1

9th to 13th April, 2012. Functions in 4 regions (Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat, Vadodara).

Hon. Chief Minister graced the occasion in all the four regions. Job letters to 65000

candidates (52000 Job letters+13000Apprenticeship letters) were distributed in

presence of Hon'ble Chief Minister.

Round 2

On 2nd October 2012, at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar, function was chaired by

Hon. Chief Minister and parallel functions in the 24 districts of Gujarat were

organized in the presence of Hon. Ministers.

Total candidates to whom job letters were offered 41,193

Round 3

Functions were held from 19 to 24th June, 2013 in 4 regions (Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat,

Vadodara). Hon. Chief Minister graced the occasion at Gandhinagar on 24th June.

Job letters to 43004 candidates were distributed.

Round 4 To celebrate fourth round of Swami Vivekanand Rojgar Bharti Mela, work started from 1st July, 2013. In this phase, 89,230 vacancies were notified, 519 job fairs were organized, 1053 employers were present and 83,091 candidates have been selected for regular job and 20,719 for Apprenticeship. Thus, total 1,03,810 candidates will be offered job letters/Apprenticeship letters. Functions for distribution of job letters are organized in 16 districts under the Chairmanship of Hon. Ministers/ Hon.Prabhari Mantri/Hon.M.L.A/Hon.Prabhari Secretary from 25th November 2013. District wise details are in Annexure: A

Thus through Swami Vivekanand Rojgar Bharti Mela during 15/11/2011 to 10/11/2013, in 1887 job fairs, 4.33 lakh candidates and 5669 employers were present and total 2,53,007 candidates have been selected for employment/ Apprenticeship till 4th phase.

FUNCTIONS HELD ON VARIOUS DATES AND AT PLACES

1. 25th November 2013 An inaugural function for public bestowal of Mahila ITI, Gandhinagar was held on Monday the 25th November 2013 at 10.00 a.m. at ITI, Gandhinagar under the Chairmanship of Shri Nitinbhai Patel, Hon’ble Minister for Finance.

It was followed by a function to distribute Job offer Letters/Apprenticeship Letters to candidates of Gandhinagar and Mehsana Districts in the Town Hall, Gandhinagar under the Chairmanship of Shri Nitinbhai Patel, Hon’ble Minister for Finance & Prabhari Mantrishri. The following dignitaries were present:

Total 40 Job offer Letters/Apprenticeship Letters were handed over by the Hon’ble Ministers and dignitaries present on the dais to the candidates of the two Districts.

Also, a function was held on 25th Nov., 2013 to distribute Job offer Letters/Apprenticeship Letters to candidates of Banaskantha and Patan Districts in the Rang Bhavan, University Campus, Patan under the Chairmanship of Shri Liladhar Vaghela, Hon’ble Minister (State) for Socially and Educationally Backward Class Welfare. 1831 candidates from Banaskantha and 487 from Patan were selected in the 4th round of Swami Vivekanand Bharti Mela.

The 3rd function was held on 25th November 2013 in the Ambedkar Hall, Bhuj under the Chairmanship of Shri Parbatbhai Patel, Hon’ble Minister (State) for Health & Family, and Shri Vasanbhai Ahir, Hon’ble Minister (State) for Cottage Industries to distribute Job offer Letters/Apprenticeship Letters to candidates for Kutch. 8085 candidates were selected in the 4th round of Swami Vivekanand Bharti Mela for these two districts.

2. 28th November 2013 An inaugural function for public bestowal of ITI, Devgadhbaria was held on Thursday the 28th November 2013 at Devgadhbaria under the Chairmanship of Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, Hon’ble Minister for Education & Prabhari Mantrishri. Shri Jashwantsinh Bhabhor, Hon’ble Minister (State), Forest, Environment, Scheduled Tribe Welfare. ShriJaydratsinh Parmar, Hon’ble Minister (State), R&B and other dignitaries were present.

It was followed by a function to distribute Job offer Letters/Apprenticeship Letters to candidates of Godhra, Dahod and Chhotaudepur Districts at Godhra under the Chairmanship of Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, Hon’ble Minister for Education & Prabhari Mantrishri. Besides, Shri Jashwantsinh Bhabhor, Hon’ble Minister (State), Forest, Environment, Scheduled Tribe Welfare. 3. 29th November 2013 An inaugural function for public bestowal of ITI (Women), Rajkot was held on Friday the 29th November 2013 at Rajkot under the Chairmanship of Shri Saurabhbhai Patel, Hon’ble Minister Labour & Employment & Prabharimantrishri. Shri Vajubhai Vala, Hon’ble Speaker Gujarat Assembly; Prof.Vasuben Trivedi, Hon’ble Minister (State), Higher & Tech. Education, Women & Child welfare; Shri Govindbhai Patel, Hon’ble Minister (State) Agriculture, Water supply and other dignitaries were present.

It was followed by a function to distribute Job offer Letters/Apprenticeship Letters to candidates of Rajkot, Morbi and Surendranagar Districts at Rajkot under the Chairmanship of Shri Vajubhai Vala, Hon’ble Speaker Gujarat Assembly. Also, an inaugural function for public bestowal of ITI, Umreth was held on Saturday the 30th November 2013 at Anand under the Chairmanship of Shri Babubhai Bokhiriya, Hon’ble Minister Water supply, Agriculture, Co-operation, Animal husbundry, Fishries. Also, a function was held on 30th Nov., 2013 to distribute Job offer Letters/Apprenticeship Letters to candidates of Kheda, Anad and Mahisagar Districts in the D.J.Sahh Town Hall, Anand under the Chairmanship of Shri Ramanla Vora, Hon’ble Minister for Social Justice, Sports, Youth Cultural and Jilla Prabharishri. 1890 candidates from Kheda 1566 candidates from Anad and 171 from Mahisagar district were selected in the 4th round of Swami Vivekanand Bharti Mela. Total 35 Job offer Letters/Apprenticeship Letters were handed over by the Hon’ble Ministers and dignitaries present on the dais to the candidates of the three Districts.

The 3rd function was held on 30th Nov., 2013 to distribute Job offer Letters/Apprenticeship Letters to candidates of Navsari and Tapi Districts in the Tata Hall, Navsari under the Chairmanship of Shri Nanubhai Vanani, Hon’ble Minister for Water Supply, Education, Sports & Youth Cultural. 1135 candidates from Navsari and 409 from Tapi district were selected in the 4th round of Swami Vivekanand Bharti Mela. Total 50 Job offer Letters/Apprenticeship Letters were handed over by the Hon’ble Ministers and dignitaries present on the dais to the candidates of the three Districts.

5. 1st December 2013

6. 9th December 2013 An inaugural function for Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony of ITIs at Bavla and Detroj and Bhumi Pujan was held on Monday the 9th December 2013 at 11.30 a.m. at Sheth Mangaldas Town Hall, Ahmedabad under the Chairmanship of Smt. Anandiben Patel, Hon’ble Minister for Revenue, Urban Development, and Roads & Buildings.

It was followed by a function to distribute Job offer Letters/Apprenticeship Letters to candidates of Ahmedabad District.
