BENJAMIN ABESAMIS TIME 11 x 17, Adobe Illustrator October 2010 Time is liquefied chaos. Time is one of the seven fundamental physical quantities in the International System of Units. Time is used to define other quantities — such as velocity — so defining time in terms of such quanti- ties would result in circularity of definition. An operational definition of time, wherein one says that observing a certain number of repeti- tions of one or another standard cyclical event (such as the passage of a free-swinging pendu- lum) constitutes one standard unit such as the second life. This typography was inspired by a saying of the philosopher Aristotle. “Aristotle instructs us to view of his psychology, as mediating the rhetorical task and entrusted with turning the orator’s subject matter into such opinion of the listeners and gain their pistis.” Pistis is the Greek word for faith and is one of the rhetori- cal modes of persuasion. Aristotle instructs the reader to use his or her imagination to create the fantastic, unordinary images, all the while using narrative and re-enactment to cre- ate a play either written or produced. Infatuation has always been that fleeting, ever- elusive, yet undoubtedly real feeling nearly every human being goes through in his or her life. Infatuation is the state of being completely carried away by unreasoned passion or love; addictive love. Usually, one is inspired with an intense but short-lived passion or admiration for someone. Infatuation is a common emo- tion characterized by unrealistic expectations of blissful passion without positive relationship growth or development. Time is liquefied chaos. Time is one of the seven fundamental physical quantities in the International System of Units. Time is used to define other quantities — such as velocity — so defining time in terms of such quanti-ties would result in circularity of definition. An operational definition of time, wherein one says that observing a certain number of repeti-tions of one or another standard cyclical event (such as the passage of a free-swinging pendu-lum) constitutes one standard unit such as the second life.

This typography was inspired by a saying of the philosopher Aristotle. “Aristotle instructs us to view of his psychology, as mediating the rhetorical task and entrusted with turning the orator’s subject matter into such opinion of the listeners and gain their pistis.” Pistis is the Greek word for faith and is one of the rhetori-cal modes of persuasion. Aristotle instructs the reader to use his or her imagination to create the fantastic, unordinary images, all the while using narrative and re-enactment to cre-ate a play either written or produced.

Infatuation has always been that fleeting, ever-elusive, yet undoubtedly real feeling nearly every human being goes through in his or her life. Infatuation is the state of being completely carried away by unreasoned passion or love; addictive love. Usually, one is inspired with an intense but short-lived passion or admiration for someone. Infatuation is a common emo-tion characterized by unrealistic expectations of blissful passion without positive relationship growth or development.

This artwork was commissioned by AEGIS, the yearbook committee of the Ateneo de Manila University. The prayers consist of repeated sequences of the Lord’s Prayer followed by ten prayings of the Hail Mary and a single praying of “Glory Be to the Father” and is sometimes accompanied by the Fatima Prayer; each of these sequences is known as a decade.

This poster was done for The Company of Ateneo Dancers as a recruitment poster for the year. Infatuation is the state of being com-pletely carried away by unreasoned passion or love; addictive love. Usually, one is inspired with an intense but short-lived passion or ad-miration for someone. Thus, the artist played with various wild colors.

This illustration expresses emotions that lay beyond the layers of happiness that clowns usually bring forth. Clowns are comical per-formers, stereotypically characterized by the image of the Circus clown and their grotesque appearances: colored wigs, stylistic makeup, outlandish costumes, unusually large footwear, red-nose, etc. A jester, joker, jokester, fool, wit-cracker, prankster or buffoon was a per-son employed to tell jokes and provide general entertainment, typically by a European mon-arch.

This mock Mushroom Burger poster was done as a sample rebranding effort for a fine arts class. A mushroom is the fleshy, spore-bearing fruiting body of a fungus, typically produced above ground on soil or on its food source. Mushrooms are not plants: they are a fungus. They eat organic matter, they do not photo-synthesize like plants do.

As what the title says, this artwork is about the symbiote villain in Marvel’s Spider-Man. Venom, or the Venom Symbiote, is a Symbiote, an extraterrestrial life form in the Marvel Comics universe. The creature is a sentient alien with a gooey, almost liquid-like form. It requires a host, usually human, to bond around for its survival. In return the Venom creature gives its host enhanced powers. In ef-fect, when the Venom Symbiote bonds with a human to form a supervillain, that new dual-life form itself is also often called Venom.
