ABB enlarges its offer of automation enclosures with the new range of CD junction boxes, which findtheir application as junction boxes on-board machines or as pushbutton panels.

Available versions: Junction box with screwed cover

The following dimensions (external) are available allow 16 different combinations:H: 150, 200, 300 and 400mmW: 150, 200, 300mmD: 80, 120, 150mmThe cover is fitted with a sealing gasket and is fixed to the structure by means of four screws ofthe captive type.

Junction box with hinged doorThe following dimensions (external) allow 10 different combinations:H: 200, 300 and 400mmW: 200, 300mmD: 120mmThe cover is fitted with a sealing gasket and has double tongue key opening. It also allows 180opening

Accessories:-back plate made of 20/10 galvanised sheet-N 4 squares for wall fixing

The range of CD junction boxes conforms to the CEI EN 50298Standard Empty enclosures for low voltage protection switchgearand controlgear assemblies.Made of 12/10 thick sheet, painted both internally and externallywith RAL7032 orange peel, they are supplied as a single enclo-sure already prepared with supports for fixing the accessories,among which the back plate, DIN rail and fixing brackets and areavailable in the different depths with blind screwed or hinged door.

The multiple protective edging prevents water and any impuritiesfrom entering the structure, thereby guaranteeing the IP66 degreeof protection. Finally, it makes the profile sturdier.

The boxes are prepared with 4 holes for mounting the wall fixingbrackets.Furthermore, earthing is guaranteed by two copper pins locatedinside the structure and on the cover respectively.
