We invite medical delegates to support our subsidise-a-student program.
RDAQ is committed to growing the rural health workforce of the future. RDAQ 2020 is a unique opportunity for medicalstudents to establish networks and rural mentors. Your subsidy will reduce a student’s registration cost.
RDAQ manages this program in collaboration with the four student rural health clubs in Queensland.
Each medical delegate who nominates to subsidise-a-student is invited to attend the student networking afternoon tea as a mentor. We encourage mentors to share their experience and passion for rural medicine with the students.

accomplishments in their own right, while simultaneously supporting their doctor partner and the rural communities they’ve
come to call home.
The Backbone of the Bush Award recipient will be assessed on the following criteria:

• Length of service in a rural location.• Outstanding personal achievements.

Queensland Rural Medical Family NetworkFunded by Health Workforce QueenslandThis year’s QRMFN Family Program provides a range of activities for rural spouses, partners and children, with many opportunities to catch up with old friends and new. QRMFN has planned a number of exciting activities to suit everyone. NB. The spouse networking registration fee does not include attendance at all RDAQ Conference sessions. Spouses who are also medical practitioners wishing to attend all RDAQ Conference sessions are required to pay the full RDAQ delegate registration fee. Terms and conditions (QRMFN): Places for some QRMFN Family Program activities are limited. Registration for the QRMFN Family Program is open to all RDAQ Conference delegates’ registered spouses/partners, and their child/ren. All registrations for those wishing to participate in the QRMFN Family Program (including children), MUST be received by 4 May 2020. The contractors providing adjunct child care services do require advance notice of numbers and child care cannot be guaranteed if registrations are not received by 4 May 2020. Children up to the age of 14 years will be cared for on Saturday night during the David Horn memorial gala dinner and awards as part of the children’s program that night. Carers for in room child minding on Saturday night is paid for by the delegate directly to the contractor providing the child care services. Please be aware that due to regulations governing the marketing of pharmaceutical products, the pharmaceutical area of the trade display is not open to non-medical attendees including spouses/partner who are not doctors. This area will be clearly defined on a map provided with your welcome pack. To ensure our adherence to the regulations, we have designated the trade area as adults only.
