Hello! My name is Miss Bell and I will be your Year 3 teacher. I cannot wait to meet you all!

This year will be the best ever! I can’t wait to inspire you, challenge you, make you wonder

and most of all have fun.

Our learning journey together will begin as Geographers in the Mediterranean where we

will investigate the climate, food and currency. We will also wonder what makes the world

angry - comparing volcanoes, earthquakes and floods.

As Historians we will dive into the Savage Stone Age and explore who lived in Britain first,

before moving on to the Vicious Victorians and the Groovy Greeks!

As Scientists we will investigate how fast Usain Bolt is and explore our muscles.

We will find out how magnets attract and how far you can throw your shadow!

Throughout this journey we will have the wonderful Mrs Ellwood helping us along the way.

However, you might be wondering… do I really know Miss Bell?

Hello there, my favourite subject is English—I am fascinated by words and I love getting

lost in a gripping book. I love animals, especially dogs, I have a little Westie called Ginny

(you’ll hear lots of stories about her). My favourite colours are blue and green. I spend lots

of my time outdoors walking as I love nature and like to keep active. I love having fun and

laughing, so my favourite type of films are the funny ones. I adore food, I enjoy any food

with cheese yummmmmy!

So I have set you a challenge.—‘A ball about me’ I bet you are all

so good at art so I am looking forward to seeing them when

you have finished.

Aims for Year 3

Over the summer holidays I would like you to practice your 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 10 times tables,

to continue reading with fluency and confidence and to continue to practice your

handwriting.
