Food Product Sales Pitch

Write a business letter

• Write a business letter to food manufacturing company persuading them to manufacture your new food product. Tell who you are and explain why you are writing this letter. Describe your unique food, the packaging, and convince them to produce it.

Prepare a visual aide

• You will prepare either a drawing, 3-dimensional model, or digital presentation of your product’s packaging. Using this visual aide, you will then give a two-minute presentation to the Board of Directors (your classmates) convincing them to launch your product.

Oral Presentation

• Pretend you are “pitching” (trying to convince) your idea to the Board of Directors (your classmates). You will prepare a 2 minute oral presentation to persuade the directors to produce your food product. You must: – introduce yourself – tell them the name of your food and any reason you chose the

name – describe your food’s appearance – describe the taste – tell how the food is unique (how is it different from other foods

already out there?) – describe the packaging – identify the target population (who will buy your food: little

kids, teenager, adults?)

• The title Business Planshould appear at the top of the page. Below make a drawing of what the outside of your building would look like. Include a sign of the building with your company’s name. Use color and neat lettering.
