A number of issues experienced:

1. Test gas tag values not representative of actual HCl concentration

2. Cold spots at ‘spool piece’ between probe tube and probe filter

3. Spectral interference, resulting in positive offset to HCl

Subsequent visit to site resolved issues 2 and 3 above

Findings and improvements not published in official report

Separate addendum was published by ABB in Dec. 2012

ABB FTIR proven capable of meeting draft Performance Specs.

Returning to same site with new system for repeat trial (Jan 2015)
