Certifed Quality Engineer, CQE is a certifcation given by the

American Society or Quality. These engineers are proessionallyeducated in quality engineering and quality control. They are

trained in researching and preventing unnecessary costs

through lack o quality, lost production costs, lost market share

due to poor quality, etc.

The ASQ - Certifed Quality Engineer is a proessional who

understands the principles o product and service quality evalu-

ation and control.

The program coverage includes quality standards and concepts,

and all other aspects o organizations & their unctions. Acquir-

ing the CQE indicates a proessional level o competence in the

principles o Quality Assurance. Individuals clearing CQE exam

EXAMINATION

Examinations are conducted twice a year, in June and Decem-

ber by local ASQ sections.

Local ASQ Sections and international organizations host

exams all over the world. You will be asked to designate a

preerred examination site on your application.

The purpose o recertiying is to ensure that, as an ASQ-

certifed quality proessional, you maintain the same level o

knowledge originally demonstrated when you passed the

written examination

To maintain the integrity o your Quality Engineer certifca-

tion, ASQ requires that you recertiy every three years.

Two Ways to Recertiy

1. Recertifcation Journal: Obtain a minimum o 18 recertifca-

tion units (RUs) during your three-year certifcation period.

Document them in your recertifcation journal.

2. Examination: Sit or the exam. (Required i your certifcation

expired and is past the six-month grace period)

We will guide you in applying or CQE credential and make this

process hassle-ree, so you can concentrate on exam prepara-

tion.

Candidates may be randomly selected or a certifcation exam

application audit. I selected or audit, a candidate must be

able to ocially document his or her proessional work experi-

ence by providing a copy o his or her job descriptions to

satisy the eligibility.

The Certifed Quality Engineer candidate should pass a

fve-hour written examination that consists o 160 multiple-

choice questions that measure comprehension o the Body o

Knowledge.

Acquiring the CQE indicates a proessional level o competence

in the principles o Quality Assurance. Individuals clearing CQEexam become member o a recognized proessional group

leading to rapid career advancement and greater acceptance in

their role as an advisors to management.
