This function creates a CATIA Publication for each feature in the model.
These publications aid in maintaining the links when working with sub-assemblies, WTX files, and when converting a model
from V5 to V6.
Process to Migrate a 3DCS V5 Model to 3DCS V6 without losing feature links
1. Open model in V5
2. Run CATDUA - Optional
3. 3DCS Update Model
4. Open 3DCS Add/Update Publications
5.Select the top level assembly
6. Review the Publications created
7. Export a WTX file of the model
8. Use Remove "DCS Data"
9. Use Save Management to save a copy of the entire model with no DCS data.
10. Close V5
11. Open CATIA V6
12. Import the V5 CATProduct
13. Open the top level assembly Product in V6
14. Put all the parts in Design mode (manually or Find *PL* w/ deep search)
15. Create a new Manufacturing Simulation
16. Open the 3DCS V6 workbench
17. Update Model
18. Import the .wtx file exported from 3DCS V5.
Notice all the feature links are maintained because 3DCS is now leveraging the publications for linking.
GD&T Annotation links are lost but Update GD&T will automatically fix them.
