3D Printing & Food ManufacturingSteve Ellis

As you may or may not have seen in my previous blogs, 3D printing has become a very large and important industry as it offers people the ability to make anything they imagine

It seems like each day there are more and more advances in the industry as people are pushing the limit on what was thought to be possible

3D printing is proving it ability to break through boundaries in manufacturing, medical procedures, and now even food manufacturing

The possibilities are almost endless when you really think about it

People could literally have the ability to make food wherever they are at any point and time

The price of 3D printers is also steadily declining making the wonders of the technology more accessible to more people

The price of 3D printers on;u a few years ago used to run someone hundreds of thousands of dollars, but today people can purchase them for much lower prices, even being lower than $1,000

As the technology gets faster, more efficient, cheaper, and overall more advanced, it will eventually make its way into every industry and field

The ability to 3D print food will provide companies to give consumers more variety in their food and their complexity

The possibilities for food production are moving in every different direction and it is extremely exciting when you really think about it

The cost of buying all the ingredients and taking them home, only to slave over them and risk ruining your homemade meal, you could instead buy a cartridge of ingredients and use your 3D printer at home to seamlessly make your meal perfectly, each time

The United State military has become one of the front runners for being strong advocates of the technology and the applications that accompany it

The military hopes to use the technology on the battlefield sooner rather than later

The military really aims to provide the men and women in uniform with good tasting, custom made, and easy to make meals while serving their country

Although it may be a few years down the road, the 3D printing of food will eventually happen and impact many industries in the process

It will be interesting to see how it all shakes out when the technology is available to the general public, and how much it can be improved
