Problem StatementAssembly operators are required to lift and hold a 52 lb torque wrench over a 40ft pit in order to torque bolts for Unit Rotor marriage. Un-ergonomic and dangerous process to both the operators and the product.

Actions TakenWorked in conjunction with the Zero-G lift assists vendor, ME, Cell leader and assembly operators to vet out the implementation 3arm Lift Assists into the supply chain. Reviewed drawings of the lift assists and tested with operators via a demo-arm.

Left/right compliance +/- 5 degrees
