PC-1230PC-1230 is a 30% silicone-based defoamer. All components of this product are in compliance with FDA regulation 21CFR 173.340(a)(2) and is limited by that regulation to a maximum usage of 33.3 ppm. Consult this regulation for situations where the use limitation may be different. All components of this product are manufactured under Good Manufacturing Practices. Consideration for other FDA permitted uses would require further evaluation.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE: PC-1230 can be used as received or prediluted with water or other process liquids before use. Concentrations from 5 to 100 ppm are sufficient for foam control in most systems. In testing to determine the most effective working concentrations, a good starting point is to add 10 parts of defoamer per million parts foaming solution. In direct food applications, adjust concentration to comply with FDA regulations.

Technical Data

PC-1230

DESCRIPTION: PC-1230 is a 30% silicon-based defoamer and all components are in compliance with

FDA regulation 21 CFR173.340 (a)(1) and (a)(2) and is limited by that regulation to a

maximum usage of 33.3 ppm. Consult this regulation for situations where the use

limitation may be different. All components of this product are manufactured under

Good Manufacturing Practices. Consideration for other FDA permitted uses would

require further evaluation.

PROPERTIES: Appearance - Opaque, off-white viscous liquid

Odor - Mild

Density - 8.34 pounds per gallon

Dispersibility - Readily dispersible in warm or cold water with mild agitation

Viscosity @ 25°C - 1500-2500 cPs

DIRECTIONS

FOR USE: PC-1230 can be used as received or pre-diluted with water or other process liquids

before use. Concentrations from 5 to 100 ppm are sufficient for foam control in most

systems. In testing to determine the most effective working concentrations, a good

starting point is to add 10 parts of antifoam per million parts foaming solution. In

direct food applications, adjust concentration to comply with FDA regulations.

Before use in federally inspected meat and poultry food processing plants and

dairies, food products and packaging materials must be removed from room or

carefully protected

SAFETY: Read Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before using this product.

STORAGE: Keep away from strong oxidizers. Keep container closed. Store in a cool, dry place.

Protect from freezing. Shelf life: 1 year from the date of manufacture if stored

in meat, poultry, dairy, and general food processing establishments.
