Serving all Refugees

In fiscal year 2001, SSCA became a federal resettlement agency

o The Department of State through the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM)

o Affiliate of the Ethiopian Community Development Council, Inc. in Arlington, VA (ECDC)

By 2004, we expanded beyond Sudanese caseload and began resettling refugees from all over the world.

Our Mission Today:The mission of SSCA is to resettle

refugees, provide programs to assist into their transition, and

promote cultural, educational, and socioeconomic development

opportunities in their new communities.

We are grateful for and humbled by our founding community of South Sudanese who have overcome incredible obstacles both near

and far and are now successful American citizens.

The South Sudanese have provided SSCA Omaha and the current refugee populations we serve with strength, hope, and love. We are truly thankful to be just a small part in

the successful lives they build here in such a welcoming, richly diverse city.
