PE 1.1 d

I applied my basic knowledge of engineering together with

my mathematical and science knowledge, and made use of

various techniques for analyzing and also for producing

effective and efficient results in all the tasks given to me.

Also my initial training in the company gave me a wide

knowledge about the industrial activities and the strategy to

be followed to solve the complicated problems arising in the

work place.

PE 1.2 a

I developed my skills in doing drafting by the use of

mechanical softwares like Auto CAD, ProE and Solid works.

I implemented my skills in the designing of die for casting

component bracket.

PE 1.2 b

I became familiar with the first principle method of

measurement using the metrology instruments like vernier

caliper, screw gauge, height gauge, slip gauges etc., I

developed my skills in using metrology instruments during

my bachelors degree and this made me more familiar in this

area, as I was assigned as a Quality Assurance Engineer in

my work place, I gathered a wide knowledge in the use of

instruments for measuring all the complex dimensions.

C.E.2.3.2, CE 3.3.2

PE 1.2 c

I also went through a lot of metrology instruments and

gathered data about the various types instruments available

and their usage. This gave me an opportunity to have hands

on experience in using most of the instruments including the

roundness tester, surface finish tester, CMM, calibration

instruments, air pressure gauges etc., I area that I was in my

work place involved me in measuring dimensions as low as

10 microns.

system, I considered the process time, the way of loading

and unloading, operational parameters, life of the tools and

the features in various machines. Then I selected a machine

which met the desired requirements. I got the commitment of

the machine supplier about the process capability of the

machine. Once the machine arrived to the company,

commissioning was done and I checked the various machine

parameters and the quality of the components produced to

calculate the process capability. Then the machine was

accepted based on my report.

C.E.2.3.3
