He represents carriers and insureds in cases of catastrophic loss, including claims involving trucking accidents, wildfires, products liability, and industrial accidents. He has argued before the Fifth Circuit and nearly half of Texas’ fourteen state appellate courts on behalf of civil litigants and amici curiae. Upon graduation from law school, where he distinguished himself in oral advocacy and legal writing, Mr. Baker served one year as briefing attorney to the Honorable Sandee Bryan Marion of the Fourth Court of Appeals. At the same time, Mr. Baker began a four-year tenure as adjunct professor of legal research and writing at the St. Mary’s University School of Law. Mr. Baker previously enjoyed a career as an award-winning journalist covering government, tax, law, and politics. His broad experience informs his practice of law and helps him communicate with clients on a broad range of issues.
