CLIC Collaborative Learning Initiative for Cities

• Scope: A one-week intensive Training Course based on the UN Habitat 3 months Training Programme piloted in the Americas, the Making Cities Resilient (MCR) Campaign tools and materials (ex. Mayors Handbook and LG-SAT)

• Content: Focus of the course is on the specific elements of the MCR, particularly on the implementation milestones and strategic planning outlined in the Mayor’s Handbook.

The course design considers the following criteria:

Background diversity of the participants Differences in technical skill, capacities and knowledge surrounding risk reductionEncourages exchange of experiences among participantsReplicabilityBuilds on existing materials/training experiences (UN-HABITAT, MADRID)
