3.1 to 3.2 Upgrade Process To upgrade the STG software from 3.1 to 3.2 do the following: ftp the IPSTG_RH21AS_V320.tar to a temp directory. as user root: tar -xf IPSTG_RH21AS_V320.tar * uninstall the old stg version by performing the following: /usr/sbin/stg_uninstall There will be dependancies errors and the uninstall will fail for some packages. if this is the case then peform the follwoing command to know which packages are still installed: rpm -qa | egrep "STG|hpoc|ss7|sctp" " If one product is not de-installed please uninstall it using: rpm -e <PRODUCT_NAME> If you get dependency errors again.then uninstall other files first depending on the dependency error. rpm -e <PRODUCT_NAME> ftp the IPSTG_RH21AS_V320.tar to a temp directory. as user root: tar -xf IPSTG_RH21AS_V320.tar It will create 3 directories: ansi,ccitt,china. Depending on the stack that you are running change to the correct directory and run the install script which is always in the output directory.
