30 Series Chiller Program v2.61 replaces v2.52.
UPDATE DESCRIPTION
In this update to the 30 Series Chiller program, the following changes have been made:
Added performance calculations, certified drawings, DXF templates, acoustic data and guide specifications fornew high efficiency 30GX screw chillers.
In this update the following bugs have also been corrected:
Fixed cosmetic printing errors on screw chiller submittals. Corrected IPLV calculation error for screw and reciprocating chillers. Fixed or removed incorrect FIOP options and FIOP displays. Fixed chiller model number generation. Fixed or removed incorrect DXF templates. Corrected screw chiller data files. Fixed screw chiller voltage offerings. Program will now allow only available voltages to be selected. Fixed display of schedules for reciprocating chillers, scroll chillers and non-duplex screw chillers. Fixed "divide by zero" error that occurred for certain scroll chillers with high evaporator flow rates. Fixed "invalid use of null" error that occurred on scroll schedules and submittals. Corrected evaporator flow rate check for screw chillers.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURES
Installation via Internet Download
Use the following procedure to download and install the program: Download the 30X261.EXE file from the Internet site and save it in a folder on your hard disk. Run Windows Explorer and double-click on the 30X261.EXE file. This launches the program installer. Follow the installation instructions which appear on your screen.
Installation via E-CAT CD-ROM
Use the following procedure to install the program: Insert the E-CAT CD-ROM in your CD drive. From the Windows desktop press Start and choose Run. In the Run dialog enter the command d:\setup.exewhere "d:" is the drive letter for your CD-Drive. Follow the installation instructions which appear on your screen.
Running the Program
Use the following procedure to run the program: From the Windows desktop press Start, choose Programs and then choose Carrier E-CAT/E20-II programs. In the Carrier E-CAT/E20-II Programs group click on the 30 Series Chiller Selection v2.61 item.
Minimum Computer Requirements:
30 Series Chiller Selection v2.61 program files require up to 46 megabytes of hard disk space. Random Access Memory: At least 32 megabytes Display Monitor: At least VGA with 600x800 resolution and 256 colors. Operating System: Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, or Windows NT (with service pack 4 or later).

PREVIOUS VERSION INFORMATION
1. 30 Series Chiller Program v2.61 DOES NOT overwrite version 2.52 when it is installed. Therefore, version 2.52
must be uninstalled separately using the following procedure:
From the Windows desktop press Start, choose Settings and then choose Control Panel. In the Control Panel double-click on the "Add/Remove Programs" icon. In the Add/Remove Programs dialog select "30 Series Chiller Program v2.52" from the program list and then
press the "Add/Remove" button. Wait for the uninstall wizard screen to appear. Choose the automatic option on the first screen and then
press the Next button. On the second wizard screen press the Finish button. Version 2.52 will be uninstalled.
2. Data created in 30 Series Chiller Program v2.52 cannot be used in v2.61.
MANUAL INFORMATION
Standard documentation is provided in a fully-featured on-line help system within the 30 Series Chiller Program. Toaccess on-line help use the Help option on the 30 Series Chiller Program menu bar, or press the [F1] key for helpspecific to any input or option in the program.
SPECIAL NOTES
1. Guide specification document files are stored in the E20-II\30X26\GUIDESPC folder. Each document file isstored in rich text format (RTF).
2. The 30 Series Chiller Selection Program requires Adobe Acrobat version 4.05 or later for viewing certifieddrawings. Adobe Acrobat 4.05 can be found on the E-CAT CD. After installing Adobe Acrobat 4.05, the usermust run Acrobat and accept the user license agreement before running the 30 Series Selection Program v2.61.
