Caracas, January 21, 2011

Dear Grandmaster, Master or Head Instructor,

We formally invite you and your students to participate in the Taekwon-Do International

Tournament "Copa 30º Aniversario Organización Chi", to be held in Caracas,

Venezuela on Saturday, May 21, 2011. This tournament is open to all Taekwon-Do Instructors of

the ITF style, Chon-Ji, or Ch’ang Hon patterns and their Do-Jangs. This will be a fair, fun, well-run

tournament which will bring the TKD community together.

The event schedule is as follows:

Friday Evening, May 20th, from 4 - 8:30 PM:

Rank Testing, Special Class and Exhibition held by Grand Master Steiner and four (4) other

Masters from Chi Taekwon-Do Organization.

Saturday, May 21th: 8:00 AM: Instructor and Referee Pre-Tournament Meeting.

This will be a brief meeting to assign umpires to rings, and cover any additional

information regarding the tournament that day.

9:00 AM to 6:00 PM: Taekwon-Do International Tournament "Copa 30º Aniversario Organización Chi".

Saturday Evening, 8:00 PM:

Dinner with Grand Master Mel Steiner and Masters. We will begin the tournament by introducing each instructor and presenting you with a special

recognition gift for your participation in our event. Following the ceremonies, the tournament will

begin. Basic information regarding the tournament is as follows:

1) Early registration is through April 20th, 2011. We encourage early registration one month in advance by filling out the e-form on our website http://chikayam.com/registration.html

2) Beginning at 12:00 PM, all instructors are invited to enjoy a free catered lunch. Rings will close one by one, on a rotating basis, to allow for the umpires to have lunch as well.

3) Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be awarded to the top 3 competitors in each division. All white belt competitors up to 7 years old will receive medals for participating in the event.

4) This competition will include a Special Needs division. This includes autism, Down syndrome, ADD, PDD, and others. All competitors in Special Needs Division will receive

medals for participating in the event. Please note on the registration form if they are in a Special Needs Division. Thank you.

5) Teams and Black Belt competition will be held in the morning, followed by Special Needs, and Gups.

6) Flags for your country and Banners school may be displayed in the stands.

Any instructor who brings at least 10 competitors and requires hotel lodging will have his/her own

hotel lodging paid for by the tournament director.

Please contact us for more information and we will send you an all-inclusive special offer package

which includes hotel accommodations (Tamanaco Hotel), breakfast, dinner, transportation

(airport-hotel-airport, hotel-competition place-hotel) and tournament fees.
