January 29. 2017 Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Dear parishioners:

Churches all across this nation are participating in a compelling prayer

campaign challenging millions of Americans to pray for President Donald

Trump in his First 100 days in office called USPRAY100. You can view a

video at http://video.uspray100.com. You can register for this campaign

at the same site. This is sponsored by the Presidential Prayer Team,

America’s longest running fulltime prayer organization. They are chal-

lenging all who believe in the power of prayer to commit to praying for the

President and his Administration for their first 100 days in office.

You may still donate a tile for $50 and your name will be placed on a

plaque. Use a plain envelope and mark it “Tile” and place your name, a

memorial or a business name inside for the plaque.

Families asking for infant baptism must make sure that godparents

(padrinos) are married in the church and are confirmed. Parents must be

registered in the parish.

RE Classes continue today. First Communion students who did not

receive the sacrament of Penance during Advent must do so on Sat-

urday evening immediately or they will be dropped from the class!!

Adult parent classes will resume in Lent on Sunday, March 5.

Office hours are Mon. – Fri. 9 – 5 p.m.

Please visit: presentationdenver.org.

The Archdiocese announced that it will have a sliding scale tuition at all

parochial schools starting next fall. Visit the schools and inquire about

tuition and diocesan funding. Also contact he parish office about a sub-

mittal for your child’s tuition from our Scholarship Fund. Carlos Hernan-

dez from the office of Catholic Schools and parents will visit our church

and religious programs soon to explain options for your children. We

want to see every child in a Catholic School. We as a parish help fund

students from Presentation in all these schools including Escuela.

The funeral for Norma Aguilar is Monday, at 10 a.m. The funeral for Paul

David Salas is on Tuesday at 11 a.m.

May the Lord of all hopefulness enliven your

faith during this season.

Fr. Ed

The Archdiocese of Denver is con-ducting a feasibility study for the pos-sible creation of three new Catholic high schools. Last Fall, 2016, in the Deanery Meetings, over 100 Archden priests participated in discussions about these three proposed new Catholic high schools. With your

help, we are now ready to send out an electronic survey to each family in your Parish with child(ren) under the age of 14 years. The information gained from this sur-vey will be used to assist the expan-sion feasibility study group, Ala Carte Learning Solutions, Inc., a Colorado public benefit corporation, in the de-velopment of recommendations for the consideration of the Archdiocese of Denver, Office of Catholic Schools. The importance of this survey cannot be overstated. Paper copies are available for those parishioners who do not have access to the Internet and wish to participate.

The link for this survey is: www.alacartelearning.com/survey-link. After clicking on the above link and being directed to the Ala Carte Learning Solutions website, each participant will select the appropriate survey and will then need to enter a password. THE 3 PASSWORDS ARE: English: catholic Spanish: catolica Vietnamese: there is no password Our Catholic families can only benefit from increased opportunities to strengthen their faith and improve their higher education options. As you know, there is plenty of evidence that our Catholic schools consistently out-perform the public school op-tions. We thank you in advance for your assistance with this survey. The fu-ture of our Catholic faith will undoubt-edly be influenced by our efforts at enhancing Catholic Schools and edu-cation.
