Vision:

Our vision is to standardise CPR methodology, courses, resuscitation policies, and the

teaching of CPR not only in the kingdom but to extend to the gulf region and the arab world

as well. Aiming to be the lead role model for resuscitation in the Arab world and to be part

of the ILCOR (international liaison committee on resuscitation).

Mission and Vision

Mission:

The objective of the national CPR committee is to educate the people of saudi arabia on

CPR. Whether it is programs in adults or pediatrics basic or advanced provider or instructor.

This not limited to health care professionals but extended to the public at large.

The committee also aims to standardise educational materials used in health care

environment. To provide media campaigns to educated the public and raise the awareness

about cardiovascular diseases. To ensure at least 60% of the saudi public in CPR, and 100%of

all health care professionals are certified in CPR.

INTERNATIONAL HISTORY

1963 AHA established committee on cardiopulmonary resuscitation

1971 Committee expanded to cover ECC

1974 Standards & Guidelines for CPR & ECC published

2000.2005 meetings. Inter. standard & guidelines was published

2010 The new guidelines
