1. Divide responsibilities

When coaching youth sports, you need to make sure to include every player. Each
player should have his time on the court and understand how his role fits into the goals of the
team. Then, let your players grow and thrive as they learn their place within the team.

2. Maintain expectations

Whether your players are lightyears ahead of their
teammates or not quite where you'd like them to be, you can't
treat players differently from one another. All athletes
should be held accountable on an equal level - if one player messes up treat him the way
you would treat any other player who made the same
mistake.

If you want your players to give 110% in each game, you
need to show them their strengths alongside their weaknesses. While it's
important to be constructivelycritical of your players, don't let your criticisms be the only
thing the players hear. Confidence is key, so help your players realize their
strengths and grow from their weaknesses.
