3 Tips for an
Incredible SEO
Strategy
The Battle of SEO: Placing keywords within your article to “get noticed” by Google, without over-doing it or making it obvious.
An SEO strategy is tricky and
depends upon creating that
perfect balance between keyword
usage and creating
compelling content.
Squeezing random
words in here and there
just makes your article look funky. How can
you fix this?
Here are 3 Stellar Tips to help your SEO strategy
Focus on how to be social, not how to do social.” – Jay Baer
Tip 1:
Social media is your best friend
“When you create attention-grabbing posts and your followers click through, Google notices your site’s traffic spike, and you boost brand awareness.” (Forbes Magazine)
After creating content, strategically place it around
social media.
Focus on what time your target audience is online, where they receive their information and what types of articles they usually opt to click-through on social media sites.
Don’t focus on throwing keywords in your post, focus on the placement of your post.
“SEO is a marketing function for sure, but it needs to be baked
into a product, not slapped on like icing
after the cake is baked.” – Duane Forester
Tip 2:
Write content your audience is interested in.
Your content should obtain information
that will engage your audience, while being both valuable
and informative.
If you prove yourself to be an expert in your industry and post content that your readers find enjoyable, then they’ll keep revisiting your website.
This means that you should write about information regarding the industry, not your
company. Don’t be a narcissist blogger.
Focus on providing useful information, not squeezing in every keyword.
Tip 3:
Don’t stuff keywords into your posts
This may seem fairly obvious after the first two tips, but keywords should not be your focus.
SEO is awesome, but it shouldn’t be the number one concern when creating content.
Keep the keywords in the back of your head when planning content, but don’t have that keyword be the sole reason for a post.
It’s more important to focus on who you’re
writing for, where you’re placing the content and what information you’re
providing, than what keyword you’ll be using.
View your SEO strategy as a “guideline” for the topics your target audience is most likely interested in.
“Authenticity, honesty, and personal voice underlie much of what’s successful on the Web.”Rick Levine
Bottom line: If you focus on creating amazing content and place it strategically around the web, then your target audience will click through and your blog will achieve the traffic that you want.
