Spelling• This year we will be studying word patterns from Words Their Way and Orton
Gillingham. Our spelling words will come from word patterns.
Homework
• Students may choose from a list of spelling activities to help learn the words.
• Students/parents may choose activities to do each week. Encourage the student to learn the word pattern/sounds the letters make, not just memorize the word.
Assessment
• Test on Fridays
• Students will be held accountable for the spelling patterns on tests and in their writing.
