Nature Sensory Bottles

How to Make:
• Plastic water bottles (mine are Voss bottles)• Natural loose parts (sticks, pebbles, gumnuts,
feathers, leaves, flowers, coral, shells, driftwood etc
First you will need to go on a nature walk with your LittleLearners. You might like to go for a walk in yourbackyard, local park or even the beach or creek. Take abasket and collect some natural loose parts straight fromnature. You can then sort them into different sensorybottles ready for your Little Learners to explore!

Lavender Sensory Rice
Materials:
How to Make:
• Bag of rice• Purple food dye• Lavender essential oil
First you will need to make your lavender rice. Simplyplace your rice in a tub with a splash of food dye and youressential oil. Shake it around until the colour is distributedevenly. You can add more dye to make the colour brighter.Set it out on some baking paper in the sun to dry. You canthen add it to a shallow tub with some fresh lavenderflowers and other purple loose parts. I love to add spoonsand containers for scooping and pouring!

Jelly Sensory Tub
Materials:
How to Make:
• Packet of jelly• Shallow tub for play
To make the jelly, simply follow the instructions on theback of the packet and allow to set for approximately 4hours. You can then slice the jelly up roughly and place itinto a shallow tray for exploring.
For older children, you might like to add some differentcreatures for imaginative play. For example, some frogswould looove some slimey green jelly and ocean creaturesor rubber ducks would be great in blue jelly!
