Bangkok is an amazing city, from the endless shopping to the local delights and food stands on every

single street — there's so much to do and see! With just three days to explore, this guide has filtered out

the best of the city — from temples and nightlife to restaurants and major shopping areas — to help you

    ■   Famous in Bangkok are the local street food and fruit stands. Although a must-try, be mindful of overcharging

and hygiene standards — especially for weak stomachs.

    ■   The easiest mode of transport in Bangkok is the MRT/BTS train, which serves all the major tourist areas in

    Bangkok.

    ■   Dress appropriately at temples (no shorts or sleeveless tops).

    ■   Day passes and single tickets are available at every train station booth.

    ■   Be mindful of locals inviting you to "ping pong shows." Politely decline if you are approached.

    Tips

The best times to visit: midnight (12-2am) or early in the morning (6-7am) as you'll see florists arranging their lovely

    fresh flowers, ready for sale.

If visiting at night, be sure to visit nearby Yaowarat Road, Bangkok's Chinatown. From textiles to second-hand

    souvenirs, its a bargain-hunter's paradise.

“The beautiful scenic setting for the film Hangover III, Sky Bar is a stunning spot in which to spend your final night

in Bangkok (even if Khao San Road is not exactly your scene). With great views of the city skyline, sit back with one

of Sky Bar's signature cocktails, and enjoy the live jazz music.”
