5Tinh Thn ng i(Team Spirit)ObjectiveLearn the importance of teamwork and how to have
good team spirit.
Fact Finding
The team is the basic building block in TNTT. Welearn from our Leaders and often interact with other
members in the same age group, but the people we
closest with and rely on the most are our teammates.
Our success in TNTT relies heavily on how we workwith others. Therefore, it is essential that we
contribute the overall spirit of the team and cooperate
with others for the a common goal. What is needed
for team spirit?
Raise the Teams Reputation
Take discipline seriouslyIn a team-oriented setting, it is essential to follow the
principle of first, do no harm. This idea is easier
said than done. If we are undisciplined in individual
activities, then we are mostly hurting ourselves.
However, with a team, we become the weak-link or
the dead weight that is weighing down the team and
slowing its progress. Make self-discipline a priority
because our actions impact more than just ourselves.
Do it for the honor
Avoiding mistakes is a good start but more is
required for high team spirit. In TNTT, good deedsare valued but intent is just as important (if notmore). Our actions must not come from fear of
punishment or greed for rewards, but rather from a
sense of honor. Leaders and fellow teammates can
sense the motivation behind our actions, and they willthink higher of our team if they see that our actions
are genuine and sincere.
Create Closeness with the Team Members
A Team is like a family. We may not always get
along, but everyone needs to love (like brothers andsisters) and respect one another. Teammates are
often required to collaborate with one another on anassigned project. Everyone works harder when they
truly respect and admire the people around them. For
a team to have good spirits, it is crucial that each
team member respects others in the team.
Members of a team should make honest efforts to
know one another. Being a team should not stop
when outside the classrooms. Teammates should
spend time with each other during breaks or outside
of TNTT time. There is no team stronger or more
effective than a team of friends.
Plan Everything
Success requires preparation. This is especially true
with a team because the actions of each teammate
often needs to be coordinated with one another. Forevery task assigned, the team should research and
understand what is needed. Responsibilities should
be divided and the teammates should collect
determine to execute their duties.
Create a Cheerful Atmosphere
When people are happy, work gets done faster.
Being a good teammate requires more than simplydoing your share of the work. A good team member
is also attentive his/her teammates and should be a
source of encouragement for others when needed.
Fairness
When splitting up work amongst teammates, it is
important that everyone gets an equal share.
Everyone is more motivated when they feel that they
are being treated fairly. The task of delegating
responsibilities is often belongs to the Team Captain.Every team member needs understand and sincerely
accept any task that is assigned to them.
Summary
High team spirit is crucial to the success of a
team.
To achieve a maintain high team spirit,
everyone on the team needs to focus on Team
