    TRAINING PROGRAMME REPORT

    October, 2011: date of arrival. The resource persons Adv. Purnima Debbarma

    and Birolal Jamatia reached to ASHA of Damdamia at 5.16pm. There they meet the PLPs,

    Coordinators and Facilitators. At 6.55pm they met Adv. Ravi Sagar the Director of LCHR who

    gave them some ideas relating to the training programme. At 7.30 pm the team had their

    supper. During supper the resource team gave information to the PLPs, Coordinators and

    facilitators regarding the meeting at 8.30pm. At 8.30pm they all gathered at the hall for a

    small meeting; there Birolal Jamatia informed them about the next day programme.

    Thereafter, Sr. Sunita Kujur imposed the five groups with variant duties for maintaining

    discipline and time table till the training periods. At last Birolal Jamatia informed regarding

    the time of breakfast, meeting, lunch and supper. Since, it was already 9.30 pm; they

    concluded the meeting and went for sleep.

    day the first day of the 2nd

    training programme began at

    8.35 am with the lighting of lamps by five facilitators of Asha, Moharpara, Gandhacherra,

    Kathalcherra and Kamaranga. It was then followed by a prayer song Ive a dream.

    Followed by a prayer song is a welcome speech by Sr. Sunita Kujur, the State Coordinator.

    Capacity Building Training for the PLPs officially declared opened by Fr. Ravi Sagar,Director of LCHR at 8.50 am. At 9.05 am LCHR documentary was shown to the participants

    regarding the activities of the coveted organisations and the role of the Para-legal personnel

    in their own society. Soon as the documentary was over the participants were asked to sit

    according their respective groups they come from. By 9.45 am they were able to group

    themselves into five. Within no time Birolal Jamatia instructed them about presenting the

    recaps of the day at the end of the day and at the beginning of the next day programme and

    all groups is bound to do so. A tea break was called at 10.30 am. After the tea break at 11.00

    am the flashback on the topics of 1st training i.e. RTI was taken by Birolal Jamatia who

    further clarified, polished and enhanced the subject matter. At 1.00pm we all broke forlunch. By 2.00 pm the second session of the day began with the Social Security Schemes by

    Birolal Jamatia which was followed by the tea break at 4.00 pm. At 4.30 pm Birolal Jamatia

    continued with the sharing and discussions on social security schemes where he brought to

    limelight the various national and state level schemes available for the common man. At

    6.30 pm the documentary on State Right to Information Call Centre was shown to the

    participants by Fr. Ravi Sagar to enhance their knowledge of the concept. The 1st

    training winded up with the presentation of the days events and activities by Gandhacherra

    group at 7.00 pm followed by the dinner at 7.30 pm.

    day morning 8.30 am the 2nd

    phase of Training Programme

    was started by a prayer song, then the resource person Adv. Purnima Debbarma asked

    Kamaranga team for recap to the last day programme. Recap was given by Coordinator

    Nirbongo Debbarma and PLP Nikhil Debbarma.

    Then one documentary film was shown by the resource person relating to the topic value oftime and religious untouchability. After the end of the film resource person Purnima

    Debbarma explain the same to the participants. During the explanation our guest resource

    person Adv. Fr. Paul came, he took the class on Criminal law. He explains the law and

    procedure of various Sections from Criminal law to the participants through audio-visual.

    Though our tea-break was decided at 10.30 am but the class was going on till 11.15 am.

    After tea break the participants were asked to write the report on criminal law and then

    present the same one by one. At 1.00-2.00 pm lunch break, after the lunch break the second

    session was started by the resource person Birolal Jamatia. Then the Director of LCHR Adv.

    Ravi Sagar took one session regarding the topic on F.I.R. till tea-break. After 30 minutes tea-

    break Adv. Ravi Sagar continue his discussion on the topic regarding F.I.R. At 6.00 pm the

    participants were given one film for watch. Through this the training was end for the day.

    day morning 8.30 am the 2nd

    phase of Training Programme

    was started by the resource person by a short speech. As it was earlier decided that every

    day one selected group will give the last day programme recap, so coordinator Dhananjoy

    Tripura from Gandhacherra, facilitated by Pavitra Atma Society, came forward and present

    his recap report. At 9.15 am our guest resource person Adv. Ashok Debbarma came and he

    was asked to take the session on Forest Right. From 9.15 to 11.20 am he continues the

    session and discussed about the law relating to forest and rights of the people in Forest

    Right Act. He explains to the participants various law relating to the human rights. After the

    class the participants were given 30 minutes tea-break and extra 10 minutes according to

    the participants demand, because they asked to perform one drama by each group

    separately. After tea-break small refreshing discussion by the resource person Adv. Birolal

    Jamatia on Forest right. Then the participants were asked to write a report on Forest right

    and presentation given by them on such report. At 1.00-2.00 pm they give break for lunch.

    After lunch break the resource person Adv. Purnima Debbarma explain the Articles of

    Fundamental Right. The resource person explains the basic human rights to the participants

    and discussed the law relating to child and woman. Since it was time for tea-break the

    participants went for take tea. After 30 minutes again they come back for the remaining

    session. The participants start writing report on Fundamental Right and present their own

    views in front of others. Then they get ready in their separate group for presenting drama

    relating to RTI and Criminal Law i.e. whatever knowledge they got from their field work. The

    session was end for the day by announced the winning group name and celebration.

    day morning 08.30 am again the 2nd

    phase of training

    programme started by the last day recap. After recap some documentary film shown by the

    resource persons relating to right to education for child. The resource person Adv. Purnima

    Debbarma took the session and discussed the law relating to Right to Education Act. After

    tea break the Director of LCHR Adv. Ravi Sagar took the explanation session on RTE till lunchbreak. Again after lunch break the participants were asked to do strategy and action plan for

    coming 3 months. Each and every group were given two sheet of paper and colour pen for

    writing their ideas and plan. The participants were asked to submit one sheet for office and

    another sheet was for them. They were given some limited time for complete their work. At

    last there was an arrangement for a small game for refresh the participants mind. Every one

    enjoy the game and then the evaluation and concluding ceremony were took by Adv. Ravi

    Sagar, with this ceremony the 4th

    day training was concluded.
